Making a commitment to a travel hockey team requires a substantial amount of time and dedication from both the player as well as the parent. Travel hockey is a commitment, and requires dedication from both player and families to reach maximum potential. The Junior Lightning Program is designed for players who wish to make a serious commitment to the game of ice hockey. Players are then assessed and assigned to teams based on the appropriate age and skill classification, and compete against other players in and out of state. Teams will hold tryouts and select players based on their individual skill levels and knowledge of the game. Youth travel hockey is a competitive hockey league where organized teams from local ice arenas compete against one another for the chance to play for the divisional championship title.
